Thiefcatcher hits Audible, challenge coins, and a free TTRPG

Hey friends!

It’s been a minute. Two months, if we’re counting. Which I kinda hope you are, to be honest.

The GalaxyCon ’26 challenge coins are finally out!

Every single one of them. If you won a coin at the booth, it should be on its way (or already in your hands by the time you read this). And if you didn’t win, or weren’t there at all, don’t worry. More coins are coming, and there will be more chances to grab one. I’ve got a few ideas brewing.

Thiefcatcher is coming to Audible, possibly as soon as next week

Luke Daniels, the absolutely incredible narrator who brought By Hook & Crook to life, has wrapped production on Book Two, and we are both genuinely excited for you to hear it. If you loved Lars and the crew in audio the first time around, buckle up: Thiefcatcher takes everything that worked about Book One and turns the screws. The heists get grittier. The betrayals cut deeper. Vivienne Dragunova steps into the light, and Lord Cecil Thume’s grip on Azoria starts to slip in ways that will make you want to keep listening past your bedtime. I’ll send a note the moment it goes live.

Book Three, A Scrap of Mettle, is roughly 50% complete

This is the grand finale of the Kings of Copper Trilogy, and I’ll just say it: this book is bigger than the first two. More of the world, more nations, more intrigue, more character development. The stakes have gone from “who controls Azoria” to “what does the world look like when the dust settles.” I can’t wait to share it with you.

And finally, the one I’ve been sitting on

I’m releasing a Kings of Copper TTRPG, and every newsletter subscriber will get the digital copy free when it launches. It uses the Powered by the Apocalypse system, set in Azoria, with thirteen Crew Spots to choose from (Rogue, Engineer, Heist Advocate, and more), art by Milo Davies, and a one-shot campaign included so you can play right out of the gate. A little sneak peek of the interior spreads is below.

If you’ve got a friend who loves heist stories, TTRPGs, or both, feel free to send them the subscribe link. I’d love to put a copy in their hands too.

More soon. Thanks for being here.
